Hey guys. I have a self built gaming PC I was storing very safely in my outdoor barn while I refinished and remodeled my room in a new house I bought. I live in NY. Upstate. Once finished, I transported it from the barn into the room. It was outside for about 5 to 10 seconds as I walked from barn to house. When I got in the room I noticed some condensation on the outside of the case. It's a see through glass case and the condensation was on the outside of the glass. I do not know if condensation got inside. Anyway, I have been leaving it safely in the open closet in the room as I finish assembling a new desk for myself and moving furniture in for my wife and I. It's been about 48 hours now. I know condensation contains no salt so my only concern is there might still be some of it inside when I go to power it on. Might be a couple of days from now though since I am a pastor and have a lot of work to do for the holidays. So I would say it would be about 4 to 5 days from the time the condensation appeared to when I will power it on. Is there anything to worry about or I should do? Or am I just overreacting? It's a very expensive gaming rig and I want to play Cyberpunk 2077! Lol. I just want it to be safe if that makes sense. I deeply appreciate any advice you have on this.

Thank you, God Bless, and Happy Holidays however way you choose to practice it.

I strongly suspect that if water condensed inside the case it would probably evaporate again in that time.  It depends on the humidity/heat ratio in the house.  If you have for instance radiator heat which is known to produce lower humidity levels in the winter it’s probably gone by now.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

Thanks for the reply. We have a wood burning stove. Based on your reply, then, I should be OK.

Thanks.
