It will be noticeable.
Not only will u have a sharper image thanks to the increased PPI, but more significantly you will notice the reduced aliasing and finer detail afforded by rendering games at a higher resolution.
Since most people rarely use things like DSR (or otherwise downsampling), when going from 1080p to 1440p they are experiencing a higher resolution for the 1st time. But it should be noted u can experience at least some of that right now on ur 1080p displays.
So if u'd like to get some idea of what things can look like, enable DSR, run ur favorite games at 1440p, see how much of a difference u notice. When getting a native 1440p display ull notice it even more so.
IMO any1 rocking a 1080ti performance or higher should be considering 1440p by now. Your 2070 gets damn close. You wont be able to push demanding games to 144fps at 1440p, but will be good enough for most.
