Windows 11 Bluetooth audio issue

Go to solution Solved by Kilrah,

Make sure nothing is trying to use the headset's microphone, so disable any voice chat function in games or point it to another device etc. Maybe disabling the mic in sound settings might help making sure it doesn't get accessed.

I have this issue where my bluetooth headphones will sound extremely muffled and poor sounding when there is more than one audio source when running a specific program. So if I'm listening to music and playing a game (It is mostly games, but Google Meet also does this) it will sound terrible, but sound normal with just one. This happens with all my bluetooth headphones, not a specific model. I had this problem with Windows 10 too, but I was able to fix it by uninstalling the hands-free mode in the devices and printers settings, but it doesn't work with Windows 11. Does anyone know how to fix this?

This worked. I turned off the microphone for the headphones.
