I've got a ryzen 5 2600x and I'm thinking about buying a aio, in cinebench my CPU is only running at 3.8 GHz I think it's thermal throttleing it's going up to 80°C

I'm thinking off a Corsair aio so it's compatible with icue, ideally 240 mm in the top off the case, I have 2 140 mm fans already in the case will I be able to use those and the ones from the aio or only 2 ?

You don't remotely need an AIO to cool that chip, and air cooling can do better than a 240mm anyways. If it's at 80C, it's not thermal throttling. You'd have to hit around 95C before it'll throttle. 80C under load like that is actually not that bad.

Also 3.8GHz is pretty good for that chip under an all core load like Cinebench. It only goes up to 4.2GHz and that's the fastest core on a single core workload. The base clock is 3.6GHz so you're still getting 200MHz of boost all core.

If you want a nice air cooler upgrade that is affordable and will last you a while, consider the scythe fuma 2.

It will give you a little more frequency, but mostly just be a lot quieter than the wraith spire.

It will also likely be beefy enough for most future cpu upgrades.

The loudest thing in my pc rn is my CPU cooler so that's also why I want to upgrade

It looks like a good cooler thanks for the recommendation !
