COD/Activision RICOCHET

Long time COD player having concerns over latest update adding RICOCHET anti cheat @ kernel level.

 

Last time I really played was 2015/16 until my oldest got into COD so we have had a nightmare with Cold War constantly. Currently in a 100% unplayable on PC. The last update made it crash anytime you edit a class, load a lobby or even single player campaign. This update broke all four call of duty's back to 2019 Modern Warfare. They done a newer update that puts in a kernel level anti cheat I am worried about my data, os and drivers with their long track record of breaking games.

 

Should this be a concern for this ?

 

I walked away from PC gaming Mid xbx360 days came back opposed to New Gen console's. So these type of anti cheats are new to me. It sounds like it could end badly if they mess up things at the kernel level. Looking for some input from a community with way more pc knowledge then myself before doing any updates.
