It will be my first installation of a functional CPU/Motherboard, the Intel Alder Lake i7 12700K and Asus Z690-M D4 (Micro ATX).

I had played install/remove a processor from a old motherboard non functional. I think I can do this, I am just waiting the moment.

I had to return my PSU as you guys here recommended me get a Gold 80 Plus than my Bronze 80 Plus. So I need to wait this arrive to me build my setup.

Another question: Motherboard Power cables are three Right? One with 10more Pin, second with like 8 Pin and other with like 2 or 4, is it right? Should you plug all of them?

a youtube guide will be very useful for you, visual representations are the best for these things in my opinion

motherboard has 24 pin connector and usually a 4+4 pin for CPU power. The GPU has a 6+2 connector

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

Yup, that's my question.

On Asus manual, it says:

1. 24 PIN.

2. 4+4 PIN OR 4+4 PIN AND 2+2 PIN.

So, there are three or two? Because it says OR / AND.

Which PSU did you end up with? 80+ ratings speak to efficiency, not quality. Corsair, Lite On and beQuiet (and others) make some solidly built 80+ Bronze PSUs good for most applications, and Logisys makes (or used to) an 80+ Gold arson box.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

You're good. I'll shut up now. Just wanted to make sure you'd actually upgraded when you dropped all that on a Gold unit, and...you did.
