Issues switching to Android from IOS
That's what I thought, but the issue with that is that my iPhone has been restored, restored meaning that it wants to be set up as a new iPhone, and my iPad is set up to receive messages from only my email (both iMessage and facetime). iPhone's still try to send texts via iMessage even after removing me as a contact and re-adding.
The only thing I can think of is to put your SIM back in your iPhone, re set it up and then deactivate iMessage, but if you are on a CDMA network that is not an option.
In that case all I can do is point you to this article http://au.ibtimes.com/articles/548060/20140414/imessage-issues-apple-ios-disable-delink-care.htm it might be a case of you having to ring Apple (it's their problem not your networks) to get them to manually deactivate your phone number from message, Apples implementation of iMessage isn't very good in this respect.
