computer keeps locking up

Whenever I'm playing a game my computer completely freezes and locks up, can't do control+alt+delete, can't alt tab, nothing. Not even the power button would work and I end up having to shut off my pc from the power supply in the back.

my specs are:

i5 2500

16gb ram

750ti

1tb ssd

Sounds like a RAM issue. If it's dual channel, can you try a single stick? And also try different slots, maybe the memory controller in the CPU is dead.

sorry for the late reply but i realized it was just because i was overclocking too much, I was overclocked on core by 75 mhz but i dropped it to 50 mhz and it works fine now
