Steps to reproduce/what were you doing before it happened?

What happened?

I bought new part to my pc (motherboard,SSD,CPU, ram) only parts I kept are graphics card and psu.

Built the pc everything is working then I install windows 10 from a flash drive and I see no internet connection through the ethernet cable, but the back panel is getting lights up when I plug it in.

I go to device manager to see that in the "other devices" it has a yellow triangle on the ethernet controller.

How do I fix this ?

What did you expect to happen?

If it's a cloudflare error, what was the ray ID from the bottom of the error page?

It might just be missing the driver, you can confirm this by double clicking on the device with the triangle as it will then show you the error for that device. If it is a driver issue then on a different pc go to the manufacture website of your motherboard (I assume it is the onboard controller) and download the driver there. Put it on a usb drive, plug it into your computer without ethernet and install de driver.

If it is a different error, can you please share it here?

So I'm just waiting for my friend to wake up so I can get access to a device that has internet  and I can plug the flash drive in to. Anyway I was playing around in the bios and found a Intel ethernet controller but my CPU is amd. So now do we know for certain tis the drivers fault ?

Intel makes ethernet chipsets which sometimes also get put on AMD motherboards, that doesn't tell you a whole lot.

What does the error in device manager say if you double click on the device with the triangle?

Well that is clear enough, there is a driver issue for that device 🙂 Just to double check, you are sure this is your ethernet adapter? can you show device manager itself?

Use another PC to download drivers for your motherboard from the manufacturer website. Copy them to a USB drive, plug USB drive to your new PC, install drivers, done.
