Iphone 8 photos to windows 11

so i noticed even with in windows 10 i had this issue that it can't see some photos that i import to my PC i guess it needs a HEVC software but Microsoft store has it for $0.99 but maybe there is a other way around lol

thank you but is there a way to make it supported ? like turn them in to supported photos/vidoes ?

You should be able to just plug the phone into the PC and copy them across as if it were a camera

yes but i found out its the live photos most of the time that i cant see

You can turn that off the transfer them

yeah but i cant seem to turn off Facetime live photos but if i turn it off i can't take any pictures lol  thats what those files must be lol

If you go into edit photo you can turn Live Photo off, you can turn it off in camera too

Go into the photo, edit, Live Photo option at the bottom, bright yellow bar at the top to turn it off. To turn it off in the camera tap the Live Photo button in true top right corner next to the RAW button
