CPU side panel glass replacement

My CPU CABINET'S TEMPERED GLASS EXPLODED. SO WOULD IT BE OKAY IF I MAKE A CUSTOM TRANSPERANT GLASS AND PUT IT IN THE SIDE PANEL INSTEAD OF TEMPERED GLASS?

though i also wanna add that if you dont have experience with glass and cant have the manufacturer replace the glass then you can prob use acrylic instead of glass so much cheaper and much easier to work with + not being able to explode at random

 

Or be like me and  just make a mesh sidepanel out of mosquito mesh and attatch it with small magnets xD  prob cheaper than acrylic but those sharp edges are quite a detterent
