Hey everyone,

I have scoured the internet for help with this issue and my Google-fu has been of no help.

I download files(qBittorrent - Windows 10 Home) over the LAN directly to my external HDD that is connected to my Shield Pro. It was relatively easy sharing it on the LAN, and mapping it in Windows. It works brilliantly when it does.

However, at random times(when the drive is being actively used/downloaded to, i.e. not idling), Windows throws an error stating that Permission is denied and that the drive is not accessible. A reboot ALWAYS fixes the problem though. My issue is that my automated RSS download setup is pretty much useless as a manual restart is almost always needed a few times everyday.

Things I have tried :

Thanks in advance to anyone who can shed light on this issue.

EDIT: Uploading screenshots as the error happened again just as I submitted this post.

My suspicion is that the file itself has issues.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

It doesn't. It happens to all existing and completed downloads which are dling to the network drive. A restart fixes the issue across the board. I do have some files downloading to the local HDD and those are always fine.
