Hello from Sweden.

So im building my first PC and i would like to run this by you guys. Hope you can help me. My budget is around 7000 SEK. (1072,24 $)

What i need:

1: I need it to be fast doing normal tasks such as browsing the web. opening programs fast, running multiple programs. (been using a slow PC for the past 10 years :S)

2: Gaming (high end) BF4 or games similiar to that.

3: Some CAD from time to time.

4: Maybe some video editing, if i fell like it.

5: Normal musicproduction, (i have a external soundcard allready for my guitar)

Parts for new PC: (swedish site)

https://www.komplett.se/k/shoplist.aspx?mode=receive&si=1377836&su=36DA3AC7-AFCC-4FBB-A488-C7C9F1A87283

And remeber that i want to have room for: a better (single) GPU in the future. Overclock and a new CPU in the future. A SSD hardrive in the near future. And also overclock the GPU and Motherboard if i fell like it.

I fell like intel is the way to go also. And i dont want to upgrade to a 770 or go any higher in cost.

My questions.

Is the GPU from ASUS better than this from MSI?

Is the hardrive good enough? (quality)

Is the powersupply overkill? Also quality?

Thanks you very much for the help!

/Whip

You really limit yourself to just aftermarket ASUS and MSI? Not like it makes that much of a difference though

an SSD would fit the picture better (referring to I need it to be fast doing normal tasks such as browsing the web. opening programs fast)

PSU's fine

Hey,

I have seen that there is no real improvement to the 770 from the 760 for the price. I rather go with 780 ti if i had the money.

Btw, why did you pick the FX8320?. I dont think i need 8 cores plus it needs almost double the power compared to the intel i5. it will cost me in the long run.

This is is my build again.

The Z87-K is not an SLI board; if you want to in the future add another 760/770, you won't be able to do it.

SSD is a must for at this price. You cannot overclock a motherboard unless you mean by BCLK which you probably shouldn't do because you'll already have a -K series CPU.

And what's up with the "XMS3 modules with Vengeance heatspreader"? Couldn't they have just sold XMS3 as XMS3 and Vengeance as Vengeance?
