I'm running a tuf b550-pro and for some reason, audio seams to malfunction in linux but is perfectly fine on windows. I'm running the latest UEFI, and have windows 10 and Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.

Troubleshooting steps gone through (All unsuccessful)

1. Try other devices

2. Try different ports

Tried that too, And when I turned my computer to replicate the issue, it is gone.

The linux audio servers (especially pulseaudio, what's used in that version of Ubuntu) are known for being mediocre at best. My guess is that it just needed a restart, and rebooting the computer fixed the issue.

Are there better options?

Pipewire has been doing pretty well lately, and it is the default in the latest version of Ubuntu (20.10). That said, if it's working now, don't bother switching it, instead wait for it to transition to the default option.
