Budget: (usd) $1,500

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Hoping to optimize for games like R6, Titanfall 2, and Cyberpunk 2077. But I'm also hoping to do video editing in davinci resolve and maybe mess with some machine learning.

Other details: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rx84K3  That's the parts list, don't worry about the GPU price as a part of the budget I already have the card.

Mainly wondering if power supply is enough for now but with room to grow? Also wondering if I missed something in terms of compatibility, PC part picker says it fine but idk how much to trust them yet. Other than that just wondering if this motherboard would have any unforeseen issues running multiple GPUs or multiple monitors? Or anything else that would limit my upgrade paths in the future?

Thank you for your time!

I think this list is a bit better for you, since it has Intel 12th gen.

CPU: the 12700KF (20 bucks cheaper then just K) is one of the best CPU's out there right now. You could also go 12600K(F), also a great CPU right now!

Cooler: The D15 is nice, but the Liquid freezer is cheaper for better performance, and its liquid cooled, so I'd go that route.

Motherboard: basically the cheapest Z690 board. The first boards are always more premium, so nothing wrong with this one here.

Memory: A 32GB kit, a bit cheaper then the one you picked. Also room for 64GB if you need more for Video editing.

Storage: a 500GB SSD with cache for boot and a 2TB SSD for storage, but I'd rather go with a 2TB MX500 or a similar SATA SSD, that has cache. But thats personal preference.

GPU: You dont have the ti, but the 1080 is a great card for now and you have a good stopgap solution, until a new gen launches or prices come down (magically)

Case: The 4000D Airflow is just a great case for the money, good airflow and easy to build in. Just a good choice.

PSU: A 850w unit should be enough for a future GPU upgrade, but keep in mind, that 12th gen (and 11th gen) intel can have power spikes. So I wouldn't feel comfortable fitting a 3090 oc and the 12700k oced in there, but for the most part it should be safe.

Monitor: Just a good reviewed 1440p 144Hz monitor. You can always just play at 1080p, but 1440p looks better when you have a future GPU installed.

Thanks so much for the feedback! I read through your suggestions and they sound quite sound tbh. I'm looking forward to giving a more thorough look through tomorrow!
