Budget (including currency): 4500eur(including ek watercooling!)

Country: Belgium

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Ida pro, visual studio, modern warfare, call of duty vanguard

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Hello everyone, I'm a last year woodworker at school and for my finals I have to make something including design etc. I've chosen to make a desk with a pc built in.
I'm going to be watercooling the entire thing later on.
My question for all of you is, what should I put in it.

So far I've come up with 2 lists:
5950x asus crosshair viii extreme 64gb cl16 3600
or

12900k asus maximus z690 formula 32gb ddr5 something something

As for power supply I'm going for the asus 850g white
For gpu I already a 6900xt which I'll be watercooling as well

Thank you in advance!

Wasting too much money on uneccesary overclocking mobos, you are most likely not overclocking (and even if you do youll need sebzero cooling to get any sort of decent oc anyways)

Get cheaper boards and pref boards that are good ram overclockers cause only way to gain any decent performance nowadays is just ram oc so dont bother with overcooling the cpu and wasting your electricity trying to oc it and just oc the crap out of the rams, maybe look at the b550 unify x mbs for amd but for intel idk

Asus psus are overpriced seasonic rebrands, dont overpay for some stupid brand alr, maybe go for a cheaper psu like corsair rm(x) or maybe just overkill on the psu so you wont need to replace it in a long time, maybe a 1000w psu or 1200w psu so itll last a decade or 2

Asthetics only or are you looking for silence and/or overclocking ability?

Considering the absurdity of the build, budget and youve already got the gpu then might aswell have an mb that can oc ram like crazy and some 4000mhz cl18 rams

To actually make the mb worth it you will have to fabricate a subzero tec ram cooler cause rams will prob give out before the mb reaches its limits, and tbh you pretty much just need to solder a bunch of metal together and cool the tec with the watercloop, along with abit of insulation around the rams, a combination of art eraser and something to absorb moisute like some shop towels should be enough insulation wise though you may wanna look Here incase im a moron and missed something

If you dont fabricate a tec ram cooler then the unify x is uneccesary, swap for a b550 tomahawk or gaming carbon wifi as those should be sufficient for pushing the rams
