Upgrading CPU and RAM

Hello, I wanted to ask if I need to clear CMOS etc. If I'm planning to upgrade my CPU and RAM. Or all I need to do is just turn off the PC take out old CPU and RAM and install new one and I'm good to go? Right now I have an i5 9400f and I will upgrade to a i7 9700k and my RAM is currently PATRIOT 2666mhz 2x8gb sticks and I'm upgrading them to a Corsair Vengeance 3200mhz 2x8gb sticks. I will APPRECIATE all of your help...

I prefer 8700K and 9900K over 9700K because of hyperthreading.

Yes I made sure that my CPU and RAM is compatible with my MB before I ordered, but the thing I'm really nervous about upgrading CPU and RAM is that my PC won't turn on or would give me blue screens of death after I change CPU and RAM and that's  just killing me inside, the thought of it.
