So I have had my pc for about a year now and up until a few weeks ago my monitors starting shutting off in the middle of gaming and acting as if they were not plugged into a gpu. I can still hear my game and talk in discord for a few seconds then nothing. It started happening at least 2 times every time I play New World, Rust, and I just got phasmophobia and it happens constanly.

I've done some digging in my event viewer and found Kernel-power Error 41 is the cause of every crash. I've tried everything to solve the problem but nothing works.

Is this due to a psu shortage?

Specs:

MSI PRO B450-A PRO MAX AM4 AMD B450 SATA 6Gb/s ATX AMD

AMD Ryzen 7 3600x

AMD Radeon 590 8GB OC

G. Skill Ripjaws 16GB RAM 3200

EVGA 850 WATT Bronze Certified Power Supply

Hi @OopsOpss

Did you find something?

Did you fixed your problem?

I have similar/the same problem.

My gear:

MB - Asus rog xtrix 570x-e

AMD Ryzren 5600x

Gigabyte rtx 3080 aorus master 10gb  3.0rev

Kingston 32gb (2x16gb dual) default/2400

Seasonic GX 1000w+80gold

I tried a lot of things, but one what works for me:

MSI -Afterburner - undervoltage the gpu.

If you ask me what is the best way to under-voltage the gpu - answer is - please check youtube.

Kind regards,

Okutids

Hi @OopsOpss

Well it depends from what angle you are looking from...

Done quite a lot:

1. Add extra voltage to SoC and DRAM  - via BIOS.

2. Disable fast startup

3. Hardware never sleeps

4. Disabled motherboard audio in BIOS. Run everything on NVIDIA Display Port audio.

5. Disabled NVIDIA audio driver.

Done everything step by step. If Black screen appears, moved to next step.

!!!!

Only what works is - Under - clocking GPU via MSI Aterburner.

Generally launch MSI-Afterburner in default settings and run OC scan.

After approx. 22 min it comes back with results. Mine MSI Afterburner said that it is not stable -power issues.

To much Core clock - recommendation is -100Mhz Core clock

-100Mhz - Ram clock.

How about you?
