The amp is okay, but it only outputs 10-15w per channel. It wont be pushing the speakers to their full potential but it will still do well. I have the same amp powering 2 6" subs in a custom box I made.

It's advertised at 30w per channel

It doesn't matter, there have been tests done and they don't put out near the wattage they advertise. Just go through some of the comments, it was something I knew before buying one.

I believe it is because of the supplied cord. It out puts 12v at 2amps which is 24 Watts. But I ordered a new cord that outputs 12v at 5amps. It matches up right at 60 watts.

That's very possible, I didn't bother testing anything out. The subs I bought are cheap and they have a rattling sound when pushed past 70%. I believe it's either because they are low profile subs or because of my box I built. Either way they would overpower the speakers if it was any higher. The subs are rated at 600w peak, 250w rms. So I'm leading to the conclusion my box isn't allowing enough air out for the both of them. But good luck and hope the cord helps them out. :D

Thanks. Opinions on the speakers?

Thanks. Opinions on the speakers?

They look okay, after having my custom 5.1 surround sound I have more a preference to surround now. But for many years I gamed with bookshelf speakers. When you can separate the channels of audio to different speakers it will inherently sound better. For the price they don't look too bad though. :D

I used the lepai variant of the amp, it worked well for what I needed.

minor channel imbalance at low volume, but it's a $20 amp what do you expect?

Will work for electronic components and parts
