Steam keeps on activating itself

The best way to describe what's going on is steam is alt tabbing to itself, causing it's window to be activated and games to disappear and just have a steam window opened, even if I force quit or close it, it keeps on doing it. Can anyone help?

I'm new to Photography but enjoy it. I also run a Pentax *ist-DL mainly with a 18-55mm lens. I also have a 50-200 mm Pentax lens, and a Pentax 50 lens that is all it says.
