Hello guys I need your assistance as Iam going to buy a sound card I will buy a usb sound card as I have a m-Atx board so I cant fit a sound card because of my graphics card.So I have these options:

1)Asus Xonar u3

http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Xonar-Sound-Cards-XONAR_U3/dp/B0054L8GVK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1397158207&sr=8-1&keywords=asus+xonar+u3

2)Creative X-fi surround pro 5.1

http://www.amazon.com/Creative-Soundblaster-Surround-System-SB1095/dp/B0044DEDCA

Now the thing is that the Creative sound card are available locally where I live so there not that expensive whereas if I buy the Xonar u3 I have to get it imported from Amazon and will cost around the same price for the creative sound Card which is isshh plus the Xonar U3 will not have warranty. So guys please help me in deciding which is better ? The headphone Iam using are Steel series  Siberia V2 but I plan to upgrade to Audio Technica ATH M50

Why do you need a sound card? What headphones do you plan on using? In most cases using a sound card is like using a jet engine on a paper airplane, it's badass, but if your inboard audio is good enough, then you don't need more, what's your mobo btw

M50s will mot make use of a sound card, and if anything they soundcard will damage sound quality. More so you can get a better value then the M50's. Or get much better headphones if you put the money from the soundcard towards the weakest link in the sound chain .

I think what you noticed was a change in the EQ... not a change in audio quality. A soundcard doesn't magically make your audio quality better, how well your audio quality is, is ultimately limited to your headphones/headset.

The impedance of the ath-m50s are only 38 ohms... it doesn't need a amp to bump up the volume either.
