no post fan spin

Go to solution Solved by Dub361,

My pc fans spin and I think the cpu fans are slowly ramping up til they it their max speed, but them the PC doesn't display anything before just turning itself off

The motherboard light debugg gets suck on BOOT if I clear cmos but if I turn it off and try boot again it doesn't turn on. My pc has:

msi b550 a pro

Ryzen 5 5600x

Coolermaster ml240L rgb

msi gaming x rx580 8gb

16gb corsair vengance 3200

coolermaster MWE gold 650W fully modular

old HP hard drive (not sure what the exact model is)

m.2 SSD from my old laptop

wd green 120

the pc is an upgrade over my old pc which just stopped working, i made a post on it some time previously on the forums. the upgrades were

ryzen 5 1400 --> ryzen 5 5600x

asrock AB350M --> msi b550 a pro

everything else remained the same

Edit:

Hey guys thanks for your help, I ended sending this into someone because after asking around on some other forums I couldn't figure it out. Turns out my power supply was shot and is unstable for some reason. I'm going to issue an RMA now and try get this all fixed. Thanks again for your help 🙂

have you updated the bios? some b550 boards may still need it, especially if you got older stock.

I Use my knowledge as business owner and self taught technician aswell as an AI to help people. AI might be controversial but it actually works pretty well 90% of the time.

Yes I used the USB flash thing on my motherboard and flashed the latest version on MSI's website. I'm pretty sure flashed as the CPU debug light doesn't turn on when I power the system on.

that does not mean anything, you should try to reflash. also try with 1 stick of ram at the time and try them in different slots too.

If it gets stuck on boot, remove or unplug all bootable devices. Turn the computer on and see if you get a BIOS message stating the no bootable device was found. If you still don't see anything, reflash the BIOS and try a single stick of memory.
