Budget (including currency): ~5000AU

Country: Australia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: really anything, mostly games at 1440p at 144fps or 60fps 4k on my tv

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/dszg2V

I want to have a mini ixt build so I can transport it to a friends house on a sleepover etc and the case I chose is not the nr200p its the nr200p max that includes an 850 watt power supply and a 280mm rad, I need a mouse and dont really know what to choose but I like the standard mouse shape on my hand but I dont what the glorious model o as I have heard that it is extremely light

Skip hard drives at all cost basically and just get a 2tb mx500 ssd as your only storage. You can upgrade later.

Make sure you add some extra support for the gpu from the bottom of the case so it doesn't wiggle too much when transporting.

Everything should fit but even with arctic slim fans it might be a bit close for that pny card.

I'd also just recommend a 5600 instead of a 5800 since all you do is game any way and can save some money there.

What are you going to do with those other rgb fans?

Good otherwise.

thanks, I'm getting the 5800 because it wont bottle neck the 3080ti and the rgb fans will be at the top so the rgb shows through the vents  : )

Neither would a 5600x too. I am of course assuming that you get a normal 144hz gaming monitor here and not a stupid 200hz+ thing :p.

For fans I'd actually get some arctic p12 rgb or arctic bionix. They are better for your AIO cooler and well the case doesn't came with a rgb controller either way so you aren't bound to the brand. You'd get better fans with also nice rgb.

I don’t recommend getting anything under the Gigabyte/Aorus brand. They tend to have spotty reliability at best, and going through their RMA program is impossible. You’re better off buying from Asus or AsRock.

Also, when spending that much money, you’ll have a bad experience with two hard drives. Instead, buy a large gen 4 SSD.

I highly recommend a Logitech g pro or g pro superlight. I’ve had both and they have been the best mice I’ve ever had. The gaming experience on a wireless mouse is much better than wired. They both have amazing battery life, lasting for weeks at a time.
