Help server psu smell

Does a server psu have any kind off smell when working?  I just got one refurbished a few days ago ( first time working with server psu) and I'm trying it, the psu work good, the breakout bord sends power to riser and card good but as soon as you turn on the psu it has a weird smell, not quite like plastic burning, can't see/hear any sparks on the psu. Haven't tested it yet with enough load to make the fan spin at full but I'm worried with the possibility of the psu get on fire or something.

The psu is  a HP 1200W Platinum DPS-1200FB-1 A refurbished. I did try find new ones but could find where to buy them.

All PSUs tend to smell when new.   For many reasons.
