Hi, I have a gaming pc (r7 2700x rtx 3060 mobo x570 aorus elite 16gb of ram corsair) but they won't go over 2133. Tried xmp+changing voltage+changing timings+i tried docd but i cant find it and idk really what to do, my gpu doesnt go anywhere further than 20-28% max in game (fivem) and for that reason i get low fps so i guess thats a ram speed issue, im trying to get this done.

Hi @Mi0 !

Can you please post the exact model of the RAM you're using? We can try to verify first if it's on the list of RAM supported by the mobo.

Another thing. How many ram sticks do you have? Which slots in the motherboard did you put your RAM into? If it's difficult to describe, a simple photo of your motherboard (specifically the RAM section) should do the trick!

You said you're getting "low fps", yet you're saying you've got 60 fps. Can you elaborate on that?

If you mean that you'd like to go far more than 60 fps, two things need to happen.

#1 Your vertical sync should be off in the video options

#2 It's possible the game is limiting the FPS to your display's refresh rate. If that's actually the case (I'm sadly not sure how GTA V works), you'd need a monitor with a higher refresh rate (like 144hz). It's also possible GTA V has an option to limit the framerate - if that's the case, try to disable that.

Also, you said that 'your ram won't go past 2133'. Can you please explain what are the symptoms of "not going past 2133" and how are you checking the current RAM speed?

Im checking the ram with task manager and I also see the speed in bios, the game sometimes when the servers are starting to get full get low fps, in the morning when there's a few ppl i get 100 when others with like 1660 ti s get 144+.Vsync off and 144hz monitor. I don't know what you mean by "symptoms of not going past that" if you can explain it detailed it would be great. Thank you

@Mi0 - okay, I have a similar motherboard (but Aorus Pro) and I see 3200 Mhz on my side, so it seems your RAM is actually running at a lower frequency.

What happens in bios when you try to select the 3200 Mhz XMP profile? Are you able to save your settings after doing that? Is the XMP option there at all? Is there any error, any message, any information in the bios itself when trying to set the XMP profile?

No, it boots normal and its just running on 2133, before it was the 3-beep ram problem and would restart and reset it to 2133 but now its just saving, the xmp profile is there but the speeds dont change.
