oh ok, but when i get my GPU i will be able to output 144hz, right?

Yes, from what i see the 1660 ti does support 1080p up to 240hz so you should be fine. Though for connection from the gpu to monitor it is recommended to use DisplayPort, DualLink DVI or HDMI 1.4 so it can reach the 144hz mark

I'd say it would run smoothly, though I've seen people say that it depends on the resolution you are wanting to play on, I stand to be corrected though. If its 1080p id say you would be perfectly fine

yeah im looking to play at 1080p and one more question does a cpu determine if a computer can run a 144hz monitor?

No a cpu wouldnt, unless you're planning on using its iGPU then it would limit the hz. On your cpu i can see that the iGPU can support up to 4K at 60hz

you are right in some cases, but there are games that he will probably play in the future that are CPU dependent

It can run a 144hz monitor, do you have a dedicated gpu though or are you going to use the integrated graphics on said cpu?

i am planning to use the integrated graphics on the cpu until im able to purchase the gpu.

I'd say the monitor would work fine but I don't think the cpu would be able to put out 144hz. Im thinking more like 60hz-75hz is the most it would put out
