B550-E obnoxious static noise

Hello all.

 

I have a static noise that recently on my new setup :

 

5600x

B550-E

Crucial 3600, cl16

MX 500 - 500go + Firegate Gaming 500GB

GTX 970

Msi 750GF

 

So, whenever I'm in a game or anything that is superior to 40% load, I have a static noise that is kinda concerning. All my drivers are up to date and lots of people seem to have the same problem as me. What can I do ?

Could be coil noise.

 

It happens to a variety of electronic components, try to localise it to the graphics card or motherboard (or something else).

It is not in my understanding dangerous and tends to come from electronic components such as inductors vibrating.

 

As such there is very little you can do about it. If you can isolate the source of noise you can add some noise dampening (ie hot glue), but do so at your own risk. You can find more here:

From my understading it comes from the mobo. Should I send it back ?
