Budget (including currency): 2000 CHF (~2000USD)

Country: Switzerland

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I want to be able to play some triple A games, but mostly CS:GO. (But also be able to play some new games like FarCry6. And I want to play around a little with crypto mining for fun, that's why I want to go far a 3070)

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Case: Fractal Meshify 2 Compact (150CHF)

RAM: 4x 8GB Corsair DDr4-2132 (1066Mhz) (I already have the sticks laying around)

Graphics Card: RTX 3070 (probably just the cheapest version I can get my hands on) (1000CHF)

CPU: AMD 5600X (also maybe go for 8cores, which one would you recommend? Might be used for simulations for poker) (280CHF)

Cooler: Noctua NH-D15S chromax.black (100CHF)

Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 Aorus elite AX V2 (140CHF)

PSU: Gigabyte P850GM (90CHF)

SSD: Crucial P5 1TB (120CHF)

What do you guys think? I guess RAM I could do better, but since I have the sticks already, not sure that buying better really is worth the extra cost.

I use toppreise.ch to look up part prices in switzerland, and main shop here is digitec.ch. unfortunately no pcpartpicker here.

Or I can get this HP Omen for 2300 CHF, seems like quite a good deal as well. I would prefer to build the system myself but GPU prices are so much cheaper in prebuilt systems...

Or this one for 1900 CHF:

Ryzen 5 5600X

Dark Rock 4 cpu cooler

MSI B550 Gaming Plus

Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 3200MHz CL16 RAM

WD SN750 500GB M.2 NVME SSD

Seagate 2TB HDD

Palit GeForce RTX 3060 GPU

Corsair 4000D Airflow

Corsair RM (2021) 750W 80+ Gold PSU

This should all be around $1884CHF, before whatever Switzerland charges for delivery and all that. 🙂

Crypto mining is majorly on the way out btw, so I wouldn't look too deep into that imo.

This is exploding PSU 😄

You'll find many videos on youtube.

Prebuilts you linked have much better specs, But HP prebuilts are known for bad quality, But on that 2300 build, Only GPU + CPU is worth that price in current market 😄
