HEVC hardware decoding in Intel chips

I'm just wondering if Intel would include HEVC hardware decoding in their next refresh. I'm curious because Qualcomm's 810 will reportedly include it so I'm a bit worried about mobile getting such a vital feature first. A quick Google search got me this article. Could someone confirm this? And maybe, include some info about the CPU usage while playing a 1080p HEVC video, if possible. Thanks!
