4k video not working

I just got a new 4k monitor, had to send the last one back since it didnt have hdcp 2.2 but i cant seem to get anything to run 4k video besides youtube can anyone help?

what is connected to it (PC/OS or a Chromecast/similar) ? What port are you using and are you using the display cable that came with the monitor ?

To fill in to this. What services are being used? What hardware does the pc have if the pc is hooked up to it?

my pc, and its on a hdmi 2.1 cable that i bought separatly

Yes also what are you using for 4k? Netflix? Blurays? Something else?

1080ti msi, benq EW3270U, trying to use netflix/other streaming services but netflix doesnt seem to detect that its a 4k hdr monitor

So basically what you need is:

 

The netflix app

A intel 7th gen cpu or gtx 1000 series card or newer

A minimum of 25Mb/s download

A screen with hdcp 2.2 that is enabled

 

If any of these are not met 4k is NOT an option. This is their drm you can totally do 4k BUT you need to meet these specific requirements to even have a chance of it working.

Ive met all of these conditions and it still doesnt work

On windows 10 most recent update? Also try it in edge.

Ok maybe try a different cable or displayport?

 

You are basically running into drm issues here for streaming. Also check the monitor to make sure hdcp 2.2 is on and working.

Usually in the monitor settings you can see it. You can also see it in the nvidia driver.
