Change sleep mode behaviour?

Since last year I made a new build and I prefer the sleep mode like on my old build that still had Windows 7.

On my former PC, when in sleep mode, I could unlock my PC by pressing a key on the keyboard or doing a mouse click. Too sensitive sometimes, but I liked it.

Now on my new PC, when my PC is in sleep mode it's almost like it's off. I need to press the power on button on my case to start it again.

Both PCs had a ROG Strix motherboard, PSUs are different.

The setting in Windows 10 is turned on that I can use the mouse or keyboard to unlock the PC. It's not working though, because my mouse and keyboard are connected to my monitor and I need to turn it on to try and unlock it, but mouse and keyboard don't do anything when I press the buttons.

Any way to change this? I want to have it again like my old PC.
