Some of the games I start up says my monitor does not support refresh rate

JAW96

1. I know this is in the wrong section, but last time I did put this question in the right spot and got no responses

2. The issue I'm getting is on CERTAIN games (supreme commander 2, arma 2, and sniper V2) when I start them up my screen goes black and then "this monitor does not support 60hz refresh rate" which it does, I have even tried running it overclocked to see if that resolves the issue. So have any of you have also have had this issue and if so do you know how to fix it.

P.S.

sorry for jumbled up sentences kinda late

Try running in windowed mode or compatibility mode

well, it is kinda an issue to get the game in windows mode when I can't exactly see the options menu, plus I don't fell like playing a RTS in windowed

Right click on shortcut of game -properties- click compatibility

As for windowed mode u see that line ''bla blabla.exe" edit it to

"Bla bla black.exe -windowed''

There is a space between exe and -

This worked for me in old games not sure if it will work for u.
