Laptop suggestions

laptop hunter

Budget (including currency): £500-600 GBP

Country: UK

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Minecraft

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Buying around October - December

My son wants a new laptop for his birthday. He mainly would like something that would run Minecraft well. Can anyone suggest something for around the £500-£600 region?

Acer nitro 5 with a last gen 10400h + 1650?

Does it have to be a laptop?

Also what else does your son need it for?

These days integrated graphics are pretty decent. I think it could even run on Ryzen Vega 6/7/8/10.

I suggest a Ryzen 3 5300U or Ryzen 5 5500U laptop with Vega graphics. It will be fine for light/casual gaming and also work in Minecraft. Lenovo Ideapad 3 models would fit in the budget, as well as many HP models.

For better gaming I'd say a Lenovo Ideapad 3 Gaming with Ryzen and a GTX 1650.
