Trouble with MICROSOFT UPDATES

  So I'm having trouble with Microsoft updates.  On the 6th at 1 p.m. was the last update and normally after that my email on outlook.com says my settings are out of date.  The usual putting in my sign on pin takes care of that.  This time it asked for a password and it wouldn't work.  Not only that but many years ago when I created the account I used my home phone-no texts- because I had no cell phone at the time.  I have tried DOZENS OF TIMES to verify my identity to no avail. their automated system won't accept my answers.  Their help portals don't work because they want the password.  I've even spent hours on their help chat but they put you on hold there and don't ever answer.  The only person I was able to get an email to said it's not my department and I can't help.  The links he sent keep me going in circles.

  If anyone knows a direct access help line of link would you please help.

This is a last ditch effort.
