Okay so the tile of this thread is a bit stupid sure, but it's true. For any of you that don't check up on jonnyguru.com regularly, you definitely should, and here's why:

SuperFlower, a PSU company that's usually thought of as an OEM, released a new 1000w platinum unit that's really something special.

Read about it here: http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=340

Only bad thing is that it isn't available in North America yet, but god damn I want one for my next build.

I think i'll be sticking with Seasonic Platinum 1000W..

That's a killer unit :P I generally look at ripple suppression first when I'm looking for a psu, and the SF unit kinda kills it there, hence why I got so excited, but it seems no one else cares

isn't that just a white SF-1000P14PE?

i don't like Super Flower PSUs, they cheap out on stuff. No OCP or OTP for a "high end" PSU is sad.

No, this is a completely new model/platform.

Corsair and Seasonic are what I am sticking with :p

I haven't really heard of SuperFlower before and it isn't a mainstream brand if you ask me.

I find it hard to trust a brand like that.

SuperFlower does ok, here in Germany you can buy them everywhere, but i don't like that they don't put all standard protection circuits in thier psu, even 150€ 80+ platin  with no OCP or OTP :o

I must ask, on what grounds?

What do you mean by that?

I was just curious what you have against those two vendors PSU's, or if its just preference.

Oh it's just a preference. I don't have anything against them but it's just that I would never buy their brand of power supplies that's all.
