So just finished my first pc build and everything went great. Now I'm looking for a decent headset for gaming, I have my eye on the sennheiser PC 151s but I want to know what other options there are in the price range. I like the 151s because they seem pretty slim and I really don't want a big headset( I'm used to using to standard Xbox 360 mic). I Also realize that most people recommend a external mic setup, but for just starting out I'd rather Get headset. So what do you guys think is a good buy for the $50 price range?

fpr $50 i wouldnt buy anything personally. i came from bad headsets to quality gaming ones, to proper headphones and honestly from gaming headsets all i can say that actually changed would be how well the headset was build. the audio quality just doesnt change. almost all built in mics arent that great. so my recommendation is if u really want a proper upgrade save up and one day get a nice pair of headphones and get an external mic. so for now dont buy anything.

I've got Chimeras 130$ and a pair of Tritton Destroyers 70$ and there is a slight noticable difference but the trittons are Closed ( which means you cant hear anything but the sounds, they both have a low and high freqency range. but overall i use and enjoy my Trittons more because it has an AUX in and can plug straight into anything i want. My Chimeras only plug into the xbox unless i use two other AUX cables to plug into the MIC and Headphone jack. but for 70$ theres less of a hassle, Linus also did a review on the 60$ G230s both non pro and pro and they come with a Boom mic, hope this helped.

Thank you for the replies, I did order a headset earlier. I went with the creative labs fatal1tys. Im sure there not the best but for now they should be ok. My Buddy's been using them for a bit and the quality sounds good. They were only $30 so I figured why not, and I know that quality comes with a price. But like I said I've only ever used a shitty standard Xbox headset so I'm sure these are better.
