My computer has been crashing more and more every time i go to use it, now all of a sudden it pops up about 16 random coloured pixels in the bottom half of my screen followed by horizontal patterns of red/blue/black/green pixels, afaik this isnt my monitors fault (i think its got something to do with the crashes) but what do i do now, and does anyone know what the pixels are a sign of?

Possible sign of a GPU dying, likely VRAM related. That could also explain the crashes.

Now thats a scary thought, i swapped my display from the gpu to the mobo and it doesnt show the lines or pixels if that means anything to you, is there something i should be able to visually see on the gpu itself that i should look out for? (Other than burns ig)

Nope. An artifacting death like that doesnt have genuine physical manifestation, thats why everyone in used GPU market always recommends testing it out the second it arrived at your door.
