hi everyone! so my dad sent me on a mission. its my brothers week in a month, and his computer is a oldish Pentium. I mean this thing plays mine craft at 20 fps.It bottlenecks his gtx 450.

that, and its 32 bit. and ddr2.

 

So! hes getting a new cpu+motherboard+ram. then a 750ti possibly for christmas. 

 

budget of 200$, best cpu+motherboard+ram. i was looking at

I think the 6300 is the best value. Good cpu and if he is using dedicated cards why get an iGPU? It saves some money (though not much).

would you recommend that over the I3? Im generally looking at the bundles, figure save more that way

Bundles from websites are generally bad deals since they toss in pretty bad components.

yup, Im seeing if anyone else can pitch in. what would the next step up CPU be? in-case i get enough people for the budget to bump up.

You can look at Tom's Hardware best CPU for the money. There really is no point to setup since you are running a GTX 450 and maybe a 750Ti later. There really won't be any gains.
