After switching to Windows 10 Pro, I've had screen tearing very badly that only v-sync can fix. In competitive gaming, that is not an option. When I was on Windows 7, though, I could lower my max frame rate to 5 frames below my monitor's refresh rate and the tearing almost entirely disappeared. That same trick does not work in Windows 10, though, regardless of the max frame rate. What's going on here? Thanks for any answers.

BTW, I've improved it by turning on Triple Buffering without any V-Sync since everything is a bit smoother.

My Hardware:

Ryzen 2700x

x470 Mobo

Nvidia 1080 Ti

16GB RAM

60Hz Display without any adaptive sync tech
