I would appreciate any help I can get on this, please.   In my system, I have Ryzen 5 3500X on an ASUS TUF Gaming B450-Plus II motherboard with 2 sets of CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4 3000.  In my BIOS and on CPU-Z it says the frequency is 2400 MHz, so I want to "overclock" them so they are at 3000.  I have watched many, many videos on how to do this and so I go into my BIOS and turn on DOCP and I see in the drop down it shows my memory sticks and the right info (DDR4 3000 - 16 - 18 - 18 - 36  1.35v) so I click on it and I see in the upper left hand corner it says Target Speed as 3000 MHz and so, I hit F10 and save the changes and my PC reboots.  CPU-Z still says 2400 MHz and so I go back into BIOS and it still says 2400MHz.  Like I said, I've watched many, many videos and all the videos I've watched,  this "trick" works.  Can someone tell me why it isn't working for me ?

@TrigrH  Thank you for that whole Setting RAM Speed for Dummies  All it took was a BIOS update.  My memory freq. is now 3000 MHz..  I was shopping around for AMD Ryzen Ready Corsair memory on Newegg, thinking that was the problem..  lol.  As you may, or may not, know I'm pretty new at this computer building stuff.  Just wish I would have started much earlier when good GPUs  were reasonably priced.
