Hey everyone. This irritating issue has turned up recently and I don't know how to fix it.

At random times, my Xbox one controller will drop connection momentarily. Either that or my PC will stop accepting inputs. This either makes the game difficult to play or almost impossible to play, usually destroying my fps while my pc tries to figure out what the hell is going on. Occasionally, the controller will drop completely and the Xbox button will flash.

I'm not sure how to approach this issue, and I've tried all my basic ideas. New batteries, uninstall/reinstall, etc..

This is the device I use to have it connected to bluetooth: this asus model. I do not use it for Wi-fi at the moment, just for this bluetooth controller. I've misplaced the small dongle that came with it, but I deeply, deeply desire to not use it. USB ports are at a premium on my machine, and I have this bluetooth card, may as well use it.

I haven't had issues until recently.
