Hi, i'm new here so nice to meet you all. First of all, please send help I don't know what to do. I don't know how or why but one day my computer was running perfectly fine and smooth and then out of nowhere, while playing games it just turns off and reboots itself normally like nothing ever happened. I then check event viewer and sadly it showed then and there kernel-power error. Please send help I don't know what to do :(

That particular error is just about the worst possible scenario from a debugging perspective, it tells you absolutely nothing other than the kernel lost power suddenly. Its not possible for it to give you more details since the power cut and the PC wasn't able to log what actually caused the fault.

In cases like this start with the basics are work forward, easiest and most likely scenario is a heat issue, start by checking temps on the CPU & GPU while gaming, see if anything stands out.

Main Rig:-

Ryzen 7 3800X | Asus ROG Strix X570-F Gaming | 16GB Team Group Dark Pro 3600Mhz | Corsair MP600 1TB PCIe Gen 4 | Sapphire 5700 XT Pulse | Corsair H115i Platinum | WD Black 1TB | WD Green 4TB | EVGA SuperNOVA G3 650W | Asus TUF GT501 | Samsung C27HG70 1440p 144hz HDR FreeSync 2 | Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS |

Server:-

Intel NUC running Server 2019 + Synology DSM218+ with 2 x 4TB Toshiba NAS Ready HDDs (RAID0)

Thanks for this info. I'll try and do this but there was a time where i've literally just booted and was about to sign in to windows and it reboot out of nowhere so idk. I've also searched on the internet and sites said to reseat ram and gpu, can that be of any help? Also the fans and rgb stays on during the whole crash and restart process, does that indicate something? Last is I asked someone and he said that it was a case of power supply reset? I don't what that is but if you have an idea please enlighten me. Thanks

Yeah, exactly this. Start by doing all the easy stuff like check temps & voltages, reseating components and removing/unplugging things that are not essential for booting (optical drives, extra HDDs, PCIe cards other than the GPU, RGB & fans etc).

Also check any power cables you don't unplug during this process are attached firmly, sometimes something as simple as a loose SATA connector can cause sudden reboots.

Ok so basically try unplugging and replugging any and all plugs first. I'll try this and i'll get back to you thanks 😄
