You can wait for windows to load for half an hour, or just turn it off and hope its saved. For me, the time waste isnt worth it.

There isnt anything you can do. Save your files if the progress was important.

So it's just force the PC off and hope the progress is saved?

Yep. many programs like Word, Photoshop, etc create savefiles in the temp folder more frequently than you actually save your work so chances are it'll be fine.

Actually I just left the PC while working on my xbox and now it started working so yeah that's good
