PC randomly freezing

AntonChigurh

So recently I have had issues with my PC randomly freezing. This only started happening since about a few months ago, and never before that. 99% of the time it will happen while I'm away from my PC for an extended period of time, but rarely it will happen while I'm using it too. It's also not a full on freeze of the system. I can still move my mouse around and type using the keyboard, but every program, including basic windows stuff like file manager is unresponsive upon opening, and the only solution is to fully shut my PC off and turn it back on. I have absolutely no idea what could be causing this and it's driving me nuts. Any and all help is appreciated.

Hey,

It could be a few things I suppose. Insufficient airflow, temperatures too high (thermal throttling) or improper overclock? What is your room temperature during summer time?
