Malformed soft tubing.

Hi.

 

trying to do a postmortem on what happened to the tubing (and most important, why it happened). 

 

note, im not pinching the tubing, just holding it up.

 

so the tube shrank/got malformed and stopped the water flowing. that in turn halted the computer as it should.

but why did it malform? 

 

replaced the tubing and everything works now.

My first thought is that there are a blockage somewhere in the loop creating underpressure downstream. This may give this result when the tubes go softer with heat

It may take some time for fresh tubes to pinch like that

Don't think it was blockage, since the flow meters are moving as they should. 

the malformed tube did create a blockage. but hadnt noticed anything before.

It can also be that there was a too tight bend on a tube that caused a kink when the temps got high an the resulting in the pinched tubes.

You can buy a spiral thing to put on the tube to prevent this

or use epdm tubing
