I have corsair harpoon and rival 3 and when playing games or draging certain windows, cpu utilization spikes to 80% from 20% so games have 15fps drop and program are laggy. This occures on 1000hz and 500hz polling rate.

I wrote to corsair support since it was my first mouse and they didn't write anything that would be helpful (soft reset, reinstalation, etc.). So I recently bought new mouse rival 3 and I tried boot in safe mode and I checked corrupted windows files (DISM.exe , sfc /scannow ), no changes so it is propably windows fault especially since on another pc everything works fine with both mice.

Only diffrence between stock and mine is +8gb ram and custom bios (standard one but unlocked advance menu) but bios wasn't unlocked by me and I'm not sure if guy who unlocked it broke it or something.

Specs

Lenovo y520

I7 7700hq

gtx 1060 6gb max q

16gm ram

I just switched from a ASUS P8 Z77-V LX with an older i5 processor to a ASUS PRIME B560-PLUS with a Intel Core i5-11600K Rocket Lake 6-Core 3.9 GHz and CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB. This was just a motherboard upgrade, same case, drives, Windows 10.....

My old Corsair M95 was causing unbelievable lag playing Conan and Ark. ASUS suggested that the M95 was not Windows 10 compatible so I tried The new Corsair Harpoon and Logitech G502 HERO with no improvement. By testing with Unigine Valley Benchmark I could see the FPS drop when the mouse was moved. My only solution is using a cheap ASUS mouse with a max polling rate of 128Hz. ASUS has been trying to fix the problem but I do not have the resources to test. (I sent the new Corsair and Logitech back thinking they we defective.)  The GPU is a GPU Nvidia GTX 1060-3GB
