Best consumer router?

I need a new router, preferably wifi 6 capable, but I have no idea what pitfalls to avoid. Can anyone recommend a router?

I will 2nd the 86u. I use 2 with Ai mesh and have had zero issues with my network. I have a 2800 sq foot house on 3 floors.

I am using Asus RT-AX82U in villa in Turkey. There is 100 Mbps fiber internet. The speed is stable with Wi-Fi 6. Ping remains constant.

What is your budget? Do you have access to Amazon, Newegg, eBay in your part of the world?

 

I've heard good things about the AX86U. The $250 price tag is worth it and I'm even considering sending one to my sister who isn't a techie to improve what she's getting from her existing ISP-provided gateway.
