Other details: I just want to know if my 2 different sets of ram will play nice together I have 2 8gb corsair vengeance pro rgb and 2 8gb adata gammix d10. Could I run them both for quad channel memory, should I yolo it and then run a stress test?

Mixing Ram Brands?

 

If you are going to buy new RAM, you can mix RAM brands. However, it will make your life easier if you buy the exact same type of RAM. You won't have to do anything new and you aren't putting your machine at as much of a risk.

It's unlikely that two different kits would run in a quad channel setup. However AM4 and LGA1200 compatible cpu only support dual channel. So if you have such a system then you should be able to run two banks of dual channel. All modules will have to run at the same speed and timings.
