Was wondering what’s the cause and if I should be worried.

You could have recorder just the audio.
Not much point in staring at your un-pealed side panel 😆

As for the noise (your audio):

untitled.mp3

I'm guessing you don't mean the constant hum that is going in the background but the clicking sound?

That sounds to me like HDD head clicking. do you have any HDDs in your system? If it is coming from your HDD then you should definitely take a look at S.M.A.R.T. as the drive could be dying soon.
The sound could also be short / over-current protection in your PSU, but that shouldn't loop.... does your PC boot up?

Please quote, not saying this to be a PITA heh, just how the forum works. If I don't subscribe to a thread then I don't get notifications (unless someone quotes me), and the subscribe option off by default.

Anyhow regarding the software, I'm guessing you are on Windows and I'm guessing you'd like free software heh, take your pick:

- CrystalDiskInfo

https://crystalmark.info/en/software/crystaldiskinfo/

- HWInfo
https://www.hwinfo.com/download/

- Speccy

https://www.ccleaner.com/speccy/download

I have both Speccy and HWInfo yet both are telling me the hard drives are good, but I think I know what the problem is as it is most certainly my older hard drive making those clicky noises.

Try unplugging your old HDD and see if the noises stop. Just to make sure.

As for SMART, it could say "good health" overall but you should always take a closer look at individual values and see if something is turning bad. It might not have passed a threshold to be marked as bad but if it close to the threshold that isn't good either.

Ok I did what you asked and I found that the newer HDD was the one that was actually making the clicking noise. Quite surprised and I didn't want to believe it as first, ill return this as soon as possible. Thank you.
