Hello everybody!

I have an Asus zenbook s ux393 laptop, which has a 3k screen. It's really nice screen however it did not perform good in most of games. I believe to downscale the resolution might help in this case, and I have tried it. The problem is I can't find the 3:2 ratio resolution in the system display resolution list! I searched online and there is a tool named cru which should able to fix it. However, after I used the software to modify the resolution, the color of my screen looks wired. It's super blue, so I have to change it back to my default setting.

Anyone has ideas why the color change after my modification? I really want my laptop to be more usable rather than a word edittor.

I also notice when I change my resolution, the active signal resolution won't change. Will this affect the performance even I change my resolution?

Here is the spec of my laptop:

Asus zenbook s ux393ea

CPU: i7-1165G7

RAM: 16 gb

back in the day when we use CRT monitors changing resolution was a thing, but not any more

we have to use recommended resolution or else we will have weird problems

all the games have an option to change the game settings, for example COD WARZONE has fantastic render resolution , also settings like low or medium details should help
